Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foundation Lecturer to join our team in Uxbridge. This role involves delivering engaging and inclusive teaching to learners working at entry-level (E1–E3), with a focus on life skills, independence, and functional development.
You will be supporting learners with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties and/or disabilities, helping them build confidence and progress in their personal, social, and educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching to learners on foundation and life skills programmes (Entry Levels 1–3)
* Plan and deliver sessions that support the development of communication, numeracy, personal development, and independent living skills
* Differentiate lessons to meet a wide range of learner needs and abilities
* Monitor and record learner progress in line with internal and external quality standards
* Work collaboratively with support staff and learning support assistants to maximise learner engagement
* Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Contribute to curriculum development and course planning
* Attend regular team meetings and participate in CPD opportunities
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven experience teaching foundation-level or SEN learners
* Strong understanding of Entry Level curriculum and RARPA
* Experience delivering life skills and independence-focused programmes
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to inclusive teaching practices
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
