Agricultural Certification Officer
Join Our Mission to uphold Scotland's Food Integrity
At Food Integrity Assurance (FIA), we're proud to be the trusted partner delivering assessment and certification services on behalf of Quality Meat Scotland, Scottish Quality Crops, Scottish Quality Wild Venison, WES, and other leading Schemes. Every year, we support over 13,500 agricultural businesses across Scotland, helping them maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sustainability.
We're growing—and we're looking for a Certification Officer with experience in the livestock and/or crop sectors, or a background in certification, to help us raise the bar even higher. This is your chance to be part of a dedicated team that is shaping the future of Scotland's food sector.
Why this role matters
As a Certification Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our members—farmers, producers, and businesses—continue to meet the exacting requirements of the schemes managed by Quality Meat Scotland and Scottish Quality Crops. You'll work at the intersection of agriculture, quality assurance, and stakeholder relationships—helping to safeguard the reputation of Scotland's produce at home and abroad.
What you'll do
· Review, evaluate, and certify farm assessment reports in line with ISO/IEC 17065 and FIA's quality standards.
· Keep scheme membership details accurate and up to date in our system—because details matter.
· Be a trusted contact for members, responding quickly and professionally to queries.
· Collaborate with our Technical Manager, Lead auditor, and assessor network to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of farm reports.
· Provide prompt, clear support to FIA assessors so they can do their best work in the field.
What we're looking for
You'll bring excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to work with a wide range of people—from farmers to industry bodies. While experience in agriculture or certification is essential, we'll also provide comprehensive training to set you up for success.
Why you'll love working here
· A full-time role with a competitive salary package based on your experience.
· A hybrid working model for better work-life balance.
· A friendly, skilled, and supportive team passionate about the food sector.
· Opportunities to develop your career and make a meaningful impact.
If you're ready to be part of a team that values quality, collaboration, and Scotland's food reputation, we want to hear from you.
