Regional Sales Manager – Modular Buildings and Off‑site Construction

Location: South London, Southern Home Counties & South East (Postcodes: All South London postcodes + TW, KT, CR, BR, DA, GU, RH, TN, ME, BN, CT).
Remuneration & Benefits
Basic salary £70,000–£75,000 plus £90,000–£100,000 OTE. Benefits: £6,000 car allowance, car option after probation, comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
* Field sales of off‑site prefabricated temporary and permanent modular buildings (70% sales, 30% hire).
* Approximately 70% of sales into healthcare, education, commercial, pharma and infrastructure end users.
* Approx. 30% of time selling into and managing tier‑one/main contractors.
* Lead a dedicated business development coordinator and oversee in‑house estimating and design teams.
* Achieve about £4 million sales revenue and £1 million rental turnover in the second year.
* Long‑term focus on rental projects, including large projects (sales £1 million–£10 million, hire £6 000–£60 000 per week or multi‑year deals).
* Current portfolio 80% public sector, aiming to grow private sector sales.
* Split time: 50% new business development, 50% managing existing customer relationships and project bank.
* London depot available for internal meetings as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven track record selling into healthcare, education, commercial, pharma or infrastructure end users.
* Experience and contacts within tier‑one/main contractors.
* Preferably from the construction hire/rental industry.
* Comfortable with large project sales (£1 million+).
* Solution‑focused sales person.
* Some people‑management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of off‑site prefabricated modular buildings advantageous but not essential.
* Balanced public and private sector field sales experience.
* Exposure to public sector initiatives such as Building Schools for the Future, NHS trusts, school trusts, etc.
* Technically capable, autonomous, self‑disciplined, customer‑focused and eager for new business.
