About the role
We are seeking an experienced Housing Delivery Manager to lead a team managing the provision of council accommodation (approximately 100 units) and to ensure that the delivery of new social housing in the districts meets the aims of corporate objectives. The team is also responsible for the management of three mobile home parks.
You will provide effective leadership and development for your service areas to ensure that the strategic objectives of each council are met and that all residents receive services which provide service improvement and value for money through the delivery of direct and commissioned services.
Essential criteria for the role
* One or more relevant professional qualifications (Chartered Institute of Housing or similar) or equivalent experience in housing development
* Successful line management, at an appropriate level, in a housing landlord or affordable housing role for at least two years
* Experience of working in a social housing landlord (LARP or RP) acting as a manager of properties with an understanding of temporary accommodation requirements and offer.
* Successful planning, monitoring and managing of revenue and capital budgets.
* Successful working with Registered Providers of housing, or delivering affordable or social housing schemes.
* Successful bids to Homes England or similar bodies for funding to deliver housing scheme.
Key responsibilities for the role
* Corporate management - To assist the Head of Service in providing strong and effective corporate and operational management of both councils.
* Service management - To ensure strong and robust leadership and management of the service.
* Assisting the Head of Service to plan, monitor and manage the service team's budget to achieve financial and performance targets and work with the Head of Service to ensure budgets are aligned to both councils' corporate strategies, objectives and priorities.
* Management of housing stock (approximately 100 units) either directly or through contracts.
* Work with colleagues in Property and Planning to develop
* Recommend outcomes on housing delivery projects to meet the aspirations of both councils
