Exciting Opportunity for a Permanent Quantity Surveyor!
Our client, a leading consultancy in the North Wales region, is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
* Monitor project finances, budgets, and expenditures.
* Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice to mitigate costs.
* Prepare tender documents, contracts, and financial reports.
* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
* Provide support during the procurement process.
Required Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in civil engineering projects.
* Experience within the rail industry is ideal but not essential.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
