Our client, a well-established financial services firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice/Operations Manager to join their growing practice. This is a pivotal role that combines operational excellence with strategic project management and growth planning. You will be instrumental in driving the efficiency, development, and expansion of the practice.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services
Implement and maintain operational systems, processes, and procedures
Manage resource allocation and workflow optimisation
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Project Management Lead and deliver key strategic projects from inception to completion
Drive technology improvement initiatives and digital transformation projects
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets
Identify and mitigate project risks
Report on project progress to senior leadership
Growth & Strategic Planning Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the practice
Identify new business opportunities and service offerings
Support business development initiatives and client acquisition efforts
Analyse market trends and competitor activity
Create and implement strategic plans aligned with business objectives
Team Leadership Line manage operational staff and provide mentoring and development
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs
Essential Requirements CII qualification (Level 4 Diploma minimum)
Proven experience in practice or operations management, ideally within financial services
Strong project management skills with demonstrable track record of successful delivery
Experience developing and implementing growth strategies
Excellent understanding of financial services regulations and compliance
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Outstanding organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in project management tools and operational systems
Experience with technology implementation or digital transformation projects
Desirable Requirements Professional qualification (e.g., Prince2, PMP, or relevant financial services qualification)
Experience with change management and business transformation
Knowledge of CRM systems and practice management software
Previous experience in a client-facing financial services environment
