Job Summary
We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) with MoD experience to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence at HMS Sultan Medical Centre, Gosport, Hampshire. This is a locum role (30 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to MoD service personnel.
Pay Rates
* PAYE – £60.10 per hour
* Umbrella – £69.12 per hour
Job Description
* Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
* Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctor’s scope of experience and qualification.
* Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceperson’s ability to undertake their duties.
* Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
* Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.
Essential Requirements / Qualification / Experience
* Registration with the General Medical Council both on the main register and on the GMC GP Register without restrictions.
* Current, satisfactory annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Council’s Good Medical Practice.
* In-date certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to Level 3 training.
* Previous Ministry of Defence experience.
* On the UK NHS Performers List with an NHS Performer number.
