Senior Java Developer – Client Lifecycle Management

About The Role
We are building an end‑to‑end solution that integrates with in‑house products such as Counterparty Manager, ISDA Amend, Outreach360, KYC, and Tax Utility. The solution is built on a mature Java/Spring Boot tech stack, supported by AWS infrastructure, and leverages the latest cloud, AI, and platform engineering advances.

Duties & Accountabilities
* Be part of a global engineering team focused on modern architectures, AI‑driven automation, and cross‑jurisdictional data compliance.
* Design and architect solutions for complex business challenges in the client lifecycle management space using Java/Spring Boot/Angular/PostgreSQL and AWS.
* Contribute best practices, coding standards, and design principles to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
* Understand existing system architecture spanning multiple systems and envision optimal implementations.
* Drive participation in scrum ceremonies and follow Agile best practices.
* Write high‑performance, scalable code and recommend new technologies to enhance productivity.
* Collaborate effectively with remote teams in a geographically distributed model.
* Communicate clearly with business stakeholders and resolve architectural queries.
* Troubleshoot complex software issues within the Java/Angular/PostgreSQL stack and AWS infrastructure.
* Build systems for KYC, AML, FATCA/CRS, LEI, and other regulatory checkpoints.
* Implement AI/ML based automation across entity matching, data validation, and workflow orchestration.
* Implement agentic AI and LLM‑based services to streamline onboarding, document processing, and exception handling.
* Ensure compliance with data privacy, sovereignty, and regulatory architecture patterns.
Customer Focus
* Build positive relationships with customers by delivering high‑quality solutions that enable business growth.
* Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
* Analyze customer requests, set delivery priorities, and adjust schedules to meet timely delivery goals.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
* Proven experience with Client Lifecycle Management and/or KYC workflow solutions.
* Experience in an Agile software development environment.
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* High energy, self‑starter mentality, and passion for creative problem‑solving.
Technical Skills
* Strong core Java 8+ design skills, including design patterns.
* Experience designing microservices with Spring Boot and Spring components (JDBC, Batch, Security, Spring Data).
* Proficient in messaging tools such as ActiveMQ, SQS, SNS, and Kafka.
* Expertise in optimizing SQL queries on PostgreSQL.
* Experience with multithreading, data structures, and concurrency.
* Proficient in REST APIs, XML, JAXB, and JSON.
* Experience with AWS services (Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway, ECS, ECR, SQS, SNS).
* Familiarity with Open AI APIs, Agentic AI, and related Java/Python/NLP tools.
* Domain knowledge in client onboarding, KYC, and regulatory workflows.
* Hands‑on experience with entity resolution and matching.
* Familiarity with BPMN tools (Camunda, Airflow, Drools).
* Knowledge of GDPR and UI trends such as Micro Frontend Architecture.
* Experience with Pega/Appian is a plus.
