Location: High Wycombe, UK (Hybrid working – 1-2 days in the office)
Role Overview:
Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced lawyer to join the In-House Legal Team of a leading professional services firm. The role focuses on technology, data privacy, data protection, and AI, providing legal advice to support the business globally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support legal and regulatory matters for a global professional services organization.
* Advise on technology, data privacy, data protection, AI, and related legal issues.
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
* Support Technology and Risk Management teams with legal guidance.
* Develop and implement governance policies, procedures, and playbooks.
* Review and advise on new services and solutions, including governance processes and legal/regulatory issues.
* Manage external legal counsel across jurisdictions efficiently and cost-effectively.
* Provide practical, business-focused legal advice balancing risk and compliance.
* Present on legal topics and contribute articles as needed.
* Mentor and support junior team members.
Candidate Profile:
* UK-qualified lawyer with significant experience, preferably from a major law firm or in-house.
* Expert legal skills in complex legal and regulatory issues.
* Strategic risk management skills with quick issue identification and mitigation.
* Proficiency in negotiating and drafting agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex files.
* Capable of balancing legal risk with business needs in a fast-growing environment.
* Self-motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills.
