Family Solicitor | 3+ PQE | Legal 500 Firm | West Midlands (Full-Time)
BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a highly regarded Legal 500 firm with the recruitment of an experienced Family Solicitor to join its established private family law team in the West Midlands. This is a full-time, permanent position offering high-quality work, autonomy, and genuine opportunities for career progression within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters, with a focus on delivering empathetic and pragmatic advice to clients.
* Divorce and separation
* Financial remedies and asset protection
* Private children matters
* Cohabitation disputes
* Injunctions and domestic abuse cases
* Drafting legal documentation including statements, applications, and consent orders
* Conducting advocacy (where appropriate) and liaising with counsel
* Engaging in client care, negotiation, and resolution
* Supporting marketing and business development activities
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
* Minimum 3 years' PQE in family law (private client-focused)
* Confident in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
* Strong working knowledge of UK family law and court procedures
* Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Sensitive, empathetic, and client-focused approach
* Comfortable contributing to business development and networking
* Proficient in case management systems and digital working
