We’re Pets at Home – if you love pets, you might already know about our Pet Care Centres, which include Pets Grooming salons and Vets for Pets practices around the UK.
What’s the role?
Our Assistant Stylists are crucial to the success of our Pets Grooming salons. You'll deliver the highest standard of pet care while demonstrating a basic understanding of technical concepts related to preparing and clipping dogs for grooming, including handling techniques, equipment use, and pre-grooming preparation.
We will provide you with training, skills, and knowledge to offer our customers service that aligns with our goal of being the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World'. You'll enjoy a competitive base pay, with opportunities to earn the Real Living Wage (or more!) through our Earn As You Learn training programmes, and additional pay supplements through extra training.
Who are we looking for?
* People passionate about delivering excellent service.
* Flexible individuals able to work a shift pattern across 6 days a week (we are closed on Sundays). You will receive a minimum of 39 hours, but may need to work more during busy periods, absences, or holidays.
* Experience working with or handling dogs in a professional grooming or pet care environment is desirable but not essential (please note bathing and prepping your own dog does not count as professional experience). Ideally, you will have experience in a customer-facing environment.
* Preferably, you will have worked in a target-driven environment, but if not, you should be comfortable working in one.
