We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for you to work in the vibrant and dynamic environment of the Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre and Dorset HealthCare Minor Injury Units. As part of the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service (DIUCS) you will play a crucial role in delivering a co‑ordinated and collaborative urgent care response to the patients of Dorset, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of minor injuries and minor ailments.
Currently we have vacancies for full‑time and part‑time hours, as a Band 7 Emergency Care Practitioner with experience in minor injuries, ailments and booked urgent care appointments to work within our Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre, Minor Injury Units and Integrated Urgent Care Service.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver urgent care response to patients in the Weymouth Urgent Treatment Centre and Minor Injury Units.
* Diagnose and treat minor injuries and minor ailments.
* Provide support and role‑modelling to colleagues.
* Assist in the development of the team and the service.
Requirements
* Band 7 Emergency Care Practitioner with experience in urgent or emergency care.
* Experience with minor injuries, ailments and booked urgent care appointments.
* Ability to practice as an autonomous practitioner and demonstrate advanced clinical practice and decision‑making skills.
* Applications requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be covered by the Trust; DBS‑update subscribers may present a valid certificate.
