This welcoming SEMH primary school in Walsall is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join their passionate team and make a real difference in the lives of their pupils.
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in this school, you will support children with a range of SEMH and additional learning needs, providing both classroom-based and small group interventions. Working closely with the class teacher and pastoral team, you will help create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Job Role:
* Supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum for children with SEMH needs.
* Delivering targeted interventions to improve engagement, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
* Leading small group activities and covering lessons when required.
* Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and helping them develop social and emotional skills.
* Supporting the class teacher in planning, assessment, and behaviour management.
* Contributing to the wider school community and supporting the school’s ethos and values.
