GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a school in Nottingham (NG7). This role offers the chance to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils’ skills development, and promote healthy lifestyles in a supportive learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will design and deliver lessons that help pupils develop culinary skills, understand nutrition, and explore the role of food in health and culture. You will encourage creativity, resilience, and practical application of knowledge in the classroom and beyond.
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages.
* Inspire pupils to develop practical cooking skills and an understanding of healthy eating.
* Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom and kitchen environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to support the wider Design & Technology curriculum.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Food Technology Teacher:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Food Technology at school level.
* Strong subject knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and health education.
* Excellent organisational, practical, and classroom management skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
