Job Description:
Have you recently completed your degree in the built Environment or an RTPI qualification? If you possess a flexible approach and are ready to embrace new challenges, we invite you to join our Strategic Land Graduate Programme.
Our dedicated strategic land team focuses on acquiring large areas of land with excellent potential for significant development. This programme offers a comprehensive overview of our strategic land operations, coupled with insights into various other departments. This holistic approach is designed to cultivate a thorough understanding of our business framework and the pivotal role of strategic land as a valuable asset.
As a participant in this program, you will have the opportunity to rotate across various Business Units (BUs) within your division. This rotation is designed to maximize your exposure to a diverse array of projects, enhancing your understanding of our operations and strategic objectives.
In addition to the inter-divisional rotations, you will also spend time within our Group Central Function. This segment of the program allows you to collaborate closely with senior team members, gaining invaluable insights and mentorship from experienced professionals.
Furthermore, you will be enrolled in our tailored development scheme. This scheme is not just about honing your skills in your chosen field of expertise; it’s about fostering holistic professional growth. You’ll engage in activities that develop your leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, ensuring you emerge as a well-rounded professional equipped to tackle the challenges of your role.
This multifaceted approach ensures that by the end of the program, you will have a robust understanding of our company’s inner workings and be well-prepared to contribute significantly to the success of Taylor Wimpey.
What you will have:
* 2:1 degree or above in a RICS or RTPI accredited course in planning or surveying (Required)
* Full driving license and access to a car (Required)
* Willingness to travel around the UK and are happy to stay away from home for short periods of time
* Ability to find innovative and creative solutions to solve problems
* Willingness to challenge the norm
Checks and eligibility to work:
To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers’ licence.
Individuals seeking employment at Taylor Wimpey should know that we foster a culture of inclusion and value diversity positively which creates a better workplace and delivers stronger outcomes. We commit to treating all our job applicants and employees fairly and with respect, irrespective of background, disability or any other protected characteristic. If you require any assistance with regards to reasonable adjustments during the application process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
What we will offer you:
Our people are important to us and we want to make sure that we reward and recognise all the great work that they do.
As well as promoting remote and hybrid working throughout the business where possible, at Taylor Wimpey we believe that agile working is key to the wellbeing of our employees as well as the success of the business. Agile working is a more informal approach and enables people and their managers to agree where, when, and how they will work, in a flexible way that benefits both employees and the business. We have the technology and guidance in place to ensure our workforce can operate flexibly and efficiently. As a graduate recruit, you will have access to this benefit from your first day in the business.
In addition to first-class training, we will provide you with exposure to our senior leaders across the business, offering you an opportunity to showcase your talents. We embrace diversity and aim to develop our people in the skills and areas they are most interested in, leveraging the unique qualities, skills, and experiences each individual brings to the company.
Our benefits align with our culture, where you feel valued as a member of a successful team.
