About the Role
We are looking for a talented Data Analyst (known internally as a 'Tuning Analyst') to join our Tuning Team within our Product Department. The role focuses on utilizing data analytics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the GSS screening solution across various message, list and geographical scope. Projects cover Proof of Values (POVs), integrations with new clients and improving results for existing clients. The right candidate will have an analytical mindset, technical background, desire to learn and an interest in Financial Crime Compliance.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):
* Build a good understanding of the GSS solution, configuration options and impact of configuration changes
* Perform data analysis, in Python and/or SQL, to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the GSS solution
* Perform data analysis, in Python and/or SQL, to understand performance of client’s solution
* Create client-facing reports to describe performance of GSS solution against defined success criteria
* Build and maintain ETL processes in Python
* Optimize processes through project learnings
* Identify opportunities for improvements within the GSS solution through project learnings
About you
Required
* Degree in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science or similar
* Minimum 2 years of work experience in a data analytics role
* Proficiency in Python programming, SQL scripting and SQL databases
* Ability to analyse information (identify trends & patterns) and present a summary of results
* Fluent in written and spoken business English
* Occasional travel to client site or otherwise
* Experience in statistical modelling, and analysis using techniques such as regression analysis, multivariate analysis, factor analysis, and clustering
* Experience in analysing data in payments platforms including SWIFT, ISO20022
* Experience working with XML data structures and JSON data formats
* Strong analytical, organisational, facilitation, and communication skills (both written and oral)
* Curious mindset and ability to learn independently
