Job Overview:
We are looking for temporary retail staff to work at York Christmas Market. You will work in an outdoor cabin in a beautiful Christmas market where spirits are high and merry
We have 54 hours per week available and will welcome applications for part time and full time. Please only apply if you can work 3 or more days.
We are a small, friendly and upbeat team and business with high expectations and goals
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Maintain a clean and organized sales space
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Upsell products and services to maximise sales
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and monitoring stock levels
- Lone working
- Must be able to work standing and lift approx 10kg.
- Confident
- Excellent work ethic
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of York, Yorkshire and Yorkshire Dialect
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Customer-focused attitude with a friendly and approachable demeanor
