M&A Operations - Technology - Senior Manager
PWC’s M&A Ops team assists both Corporate and Private Equity (PE) clients in a wide range of business critical operational and transformational challenges, driven by M&A activity. We advise our clients on deals with values ranging from £50 million to over £10 billion and our clients include some of the most well‑known brands and businesses in the world.
Our team has c.200 dynamic and friendly people from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. We recruit proactively from industry, consulting, private equity and audit to create a blend of relevant experience to support each transaction. Within M&A Ops, we have a team of technology specialists with deep experience and are looking to enhance this team through select, high calibre appointments.
Responsibilities
* Pre‑deal value creation advisory (helping clients prepare their business, or parts of their business for sale)
* Buy and sell side operational due diligence (reviewing and reporting on technology risks and value opportunities)
* Synergy development and review (developing or providing an external independent review on synergy levels)
* Carve‑out and divestment support (developing the standalone operating model and associated costs)
* Control and 100‑day planning (helping clients take control of the business, manage risks and deliver quick wins in the first 100 days)
* Integration (protecting and growing the value of an acquisition, developing a realistic integration plan and executing it)
* Post‑acquisition performance improvement (identifying where value lies and realistic, sustainable cost savings)
Qualifications
* Ability to formulate IT strategy and design review or operating model.
* Experience with key business applications (ERP, CRM, MI, Middleware, eCommerce or industry‑specific front‑office systems).
* Comfort with IT and operational analysis to understand core IT, operational and back‑office processes and associated costs.
* Proficiency in creating detailed IT cost financial models, interpreting data and performing scenario analysis.
* Experience reviewing IT‑enabled performance improvements, cost‑reduction plans, IT cost‑out strategies, business cases or CAPEX needs.
* Ability to read a business/process, anticipate issues and identify upside opportunities.
* Familiarity with Enterprise IT and data architecture concepts.
* Experience in IT project support and development, including planning and costing changes.
* Capability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly and identify key messages.
* Expertise in creating clear, concise presentations and drafting board papers for executive audiences.
* Comfort around report writing and simplifying complex messages.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Comfort with numerical analysis and understanding financial principles.
* Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and meet tight timescales.
