Customer Operations Specialist - Milton Keynes

Role: Customer Operations SpecialistsLocation: Tongwell, Milton Keynes - hybrid workingHours: 37.5 hours per week: 09:00 - 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute break.Start: ASAPDuration: 12 months initiallyBasic Rate: £14.77 per hour
Your New Role:In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our contact centre operations.This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. This is a great opportunity to develop a broad skill set and make a real impact where it matters most.While this role is initially temporary, it provides a strong foundation for starting your career within the company, with the potential to progress into permanent opportunities across the business.
You will be:• Handling inbound customer enquiries via phone and email• Managing escalated queries with professionalism, empathy, and sound decision-making• Identifying and supporting vulnerable customers with care and patience• Working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues at the first point of contact where possible• Maintaining a customer first approach while meeting operational targets• Ensuring all interactions are compliant with FCA requirements, internal policies, and regulatory standards
What You’ll Need to Succeed:• Have experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment (financial services preferred but not essential)• Stay calm and resilient under pressure• Are flexible and adaptable, happy to support where needed most• Communicate clearly and confidently with customers and colleagues• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, team-oriented culture• Are motivated by helping customers and delivering the best possible service and outcomes
Compliance & IntegrityYou’ll work to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with:• FCA regulations• Data Protection (DPA)• Anti Money Laundering• SAF, ECCD, Code of Conduct• Anti Bribery and Corruption policies
Full training will be provided.
