We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Officer to join the Homeless Prevention Service of a Housing Association in Worcester. This is a vital role supporting individuals with a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse, and complex needs, helping them to maintain stable accommodation and rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Support Officer:
* Directly supervise a team of five Support Workers, offering guidance, supervision, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring all client support is delivered effectively and efficiently.
* Ensure the service is meeting targets and outcomes set by commissioners, preparing regular reports and data as required.
* Contribute to the delivery of person-centred support plans for individuals with a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse, mental health issues, and other complex needs.
* What we'd love to see from you:
* Previous experience working within the homelessness, supported housing, or substance misuse sectors is essential. Experience with former rough sleepers or vulnerable adults with complex needs is highly desirable.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role
* An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required prior to appointment.
* Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is preferred, with the ability to lead and develop a small team effectively.
