Job Title: Manufacturing Production Engineer
Location: Hull, HU9
Annual Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Working Days & Hours:
* Monday to Thursday - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Friday - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Purpose of the Role:
The Manufacturing Production Engineer will support production with engineering projects, including manufacturing techniques, process mapping, design jigging and tooling, implementing lean processes, and supporting continuous improvement.
Key Duties:
* Assist with production engineering projects across all departments
* Design and develop processes, methods, and systems from concept to delivery
* Collaborate with design, production, and purchasing teams
* Interpret client requirements, solve engineering problems, and ensure solutions are on budget
* Read and create technical drawings
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers
* Ensure project success in production engineering or as part of a project team
* Communicate with departments to address production priorities and shortfalls
* Keep the production engineering manager updated on project progress
* Familiarise with company procedural and control systems
* Perform additional ad-hoc duties as needed
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing procedures, including 5S and Kaizen methods
* Mechanical engineering qualifications with 5 years of relevant experience
* Experience in designing production workflows and equipment
* Familiarity with composites, glass-reinforced products, and metal constructions
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work under strict deadlines and track project progress
* Proficiency in MS Office and CAD design software
* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
