The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across key sectors including manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their challenges, propose tailored solutions, and manage the sales process from initial contact through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a proactive sales strategy focused on new business generation.
* Identify potential customers and market sectors for robotic and automation solutions.
* Engage with clients to understand technical requirements and present suitable automation systems.
* Collaborate with internal engineering teams to design and propose customised solutions.
* Prepare and deliver technical presentations, quotations, and proposals.
* Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation and handover.
* Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with commercial drive — someone who understands automation technology and loves helping customers find smarter ways to work.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, ideally within robotics, automation, or industrial equipment.
* Expertise in SaaS based sales strategies, in particular B2B in engineering sectors would be advantageous.
* Strong understanding of automation systems, robotics integration, or control systems.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technology clearly.
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
* Engineering or technical qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar).
* UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
