Job Description
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance, including scheduling activities.
* Provide mechanical breakdown support for all site activities.
* Provide electrical breakdown support for all site activities.
* Carry out building and site maintenance.
* Contribute to the specification of new manufacturing equipment to ensure robustness and ease of maintenance.
* Install production equipment, including electrical and pneumatic services.
* Support continuous improvement activities across the business.
* Guide on installation and service requirements for production and non-production equipment.
* Support and supervise contractors working on Hydro premises.
* Achieve department KPIs and understand company objectives and goals.
Education and Department Specific Skills
* Ideally NVQ Level 4 or HNC qualification.
* Electrical qualifications (18th Edition BS7671).
* Strong verbal and written English skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and IT.
* Knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems.
* Knowledge of pneumatics (pumps, valves, fluid control).
* Mechanical knowledge (pipe fitting, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, pumps, fans).
* Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
