This is an exciting opportunity to take a specialist cognitive impairment role within Older People's Community Services in Leeds. The successful applicant will have dedicated time offering neuropsychological assessment and expertise within one of the Memory Assessment Service locality teams. The role is varied and also involves supporting development of our psychological interventions offer for people living with dementia within Community Mental Health Teams, under the lead of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. You will work as a senior clinician within the Older People's Service (OPS) to embed psychological interventions, offering specialist assessment, psychological formulation, team consultation and training. An important part of this role will be supporting professional colleagues to develop and use psychological thinking in their work and the successful candidate will take a lead on specific projects to support this. There will be opportunities to provide supervision for trainees and other professionals within the service, as well as offering line management for psychological practitioners within OPS. Supervision for clinical work will be provided internally by staff with expertise and experience in the above areas of work.
