We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CAT B Mens Prison.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with:
* Two years’ experience in a plumbing or equivalent role
* Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
* Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
* Understanding of health and safety requirements
* Qualifications: C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), or NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
* Strong health and safety knowledge
* Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
