Job Overview
* Location: Castlehead Medical Centre, Ambleside Road, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 4DB
* Hours: Part-time – 24 hours/week (ideally 3x 8-hour days)
* Shift Pattern: Includes evenings and some Saturdays (Enhanced Access cover)

Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with GPs, nurses, and admin staff, contributing to the smooth delivery of patient care services. Your tasks will include:
* NHS Health Checks and New Patient Assessments
* Phlebotomy and ECGs
* Administering Flu Vaccines and B12 Injections
* Assisting in minor surgeries and family planning clinics
* Patient data entry, sample prep, infection control, and more
What We’re Looking For
You’re an ideal candidate if you:
* Have experience in an NHS healthcare setting
* Possess a Healthcare Certificate or equivalent
* Hold GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above)
* Can work independently and maintain patient confidentiality
* Are trained in phlebotomy, BP checks, vaccinations, etc.
Bonus: Familiarity with EMIS Web, patient recall systems, and infection control protocols.
