SKENE WARD - DEPUTY CHARGE NURSE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMHN) to join the team in Skene Ward, Royal Cornhill Hospital as Deputy Charge Nurse.
Skene Ward is an 18-bed mixed-sex ward for individuals who have a diagnosis of dementia. The focus of our service is to provide high quality, person-centred care to patients admitted for assessment who require support at differing stages of their journey.
The successful candidate will have an authentic interest in working in the Older Adult Directorate, particularly in dementia care, extensive post‑registration nursing experience, and a knowledge of the current challenges facing the service and patient group. They should display effective leadership skills and be passionate about personal and service development.
This is a full‑time role of 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour shift pattern, mainly dayshift with occasional night duty, starting 23rd June 2026.
