Payroll Administrator
Location: Ossett, West Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full time, Monday–Thursday 8am–4.30pm, Friday 8am–3.30pm

With continued growth, we are looking for a talented Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team at our Ossett headquarters.
The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to run the payroll function end-to-end. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and reporting. The role will also involve supporting the Finance function, with training provided in accounting where required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process bi-weekly payrolls and subcontractor payments accurately and on time
* Maintain payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and tax code amendments
* Manage the time and attendance system and time sheet entry
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations
* Handle employee payroll queries (e.g. payslips, deductions, tax codes)
* Manage monthly payments to HMRC, pensions, and other payroll-related payments
* Upload bi-weekly pension contributions onto the pensions portal
* Produce bi-weekly and monthly payroll reporting, including HMRC submissions (P32s, RTI, P60s, P11Ds)
* Process bi-weekly payroll journals and payroll balance sheet reconciliations
* Support finance with ad-hoc tasks such as accounts payable, invoice processing, and expenses
What We're Looking For:
* Previous payroll experience (end-to-end)
* Accounts/finance experience desirable (training provided)
* Familiarity with payroll/accounting software (e.g. Sage) and time & attendance systems (Time-Pro)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
* Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
