Consistent daytime hours and overtime Secure, permanent employment Well established and growing businessOpportunity to break into the Rail Industry Ongoing Training Opportunities / Career ProgressionSalary: £37,000 - £40,000Hours: 36 hours (Basic)Start: ASAPContract: Permanent Client Summary: A leading name with Rail Freight Haulage SectorPosition Summary: Welder with Team Leader / supervisory experience - wishing to take the next step within their career and move into a welding co-ordinator role.Duties include: Working with various materials and processes (MIG / TIG / MMA) Heavy fabrication and weld repair and overhaul work Working from WPS Documentation Working from engineering drawings Maintain a register of welder qualifications and ensure ongoing compliance with BS EN ISO 9606 standards. Organise periodic competence assessments and practical welding tests. Arrange requalification testing for welders performing welds on cast steel components per maintenance intervals.Requirements: Ideally completed an apprenticeship in welding, sheet metal work, fabrication, or a similar discipline Strong fabrication and welding background Experience in Rail (Desired) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Flexibility to work overtime when required * Experience in understanding and working from a WPS
