First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Learning and Development Specialist on a permanent basis due to growth to cover their Lyneham depot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Be an integral part of the business unit contract teams, providing day-to-day support and direction on learning and development.
2. Delivery of accredited and non-accredited programmes for staff (and where applicable Authority personnel) across the Training business unit, including AET, CET, CAVA, IQA qualifications.
3. Design and deliver a range of learning programmes, including technical, behavioural and leadership courses.
4. Deliver training, mentoring and support to new and existing delivery staff to ensure compliance with the teaching and assessment standards and to facilitate continuous professional development.
5. Utilise best teaching and learning approaches to ensure any training interventions are maximised.
6. Use digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning environment. Where appropriate maximise the use of online and group delivery.
7. Carry out capability gap analysis in conjunction with delivery teams to identify training gaps.
8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions.
9. Drive a culture of continuous professional development.
10. Support with the development and implementation of a competency framework
11. Provide input to the internal quality cycle process.
Skills and Qualifications:
12. L2 English and maths or equivalent
13. Level 4 (ideally Level 5) or above teaching qualification
14. Level 3 Assessor qualification (CAVA)
15. Level 4 IQA qualification (or working towards)
16. H&S Level 2 qualification
17. Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring qualification
18. Extensive education / training quality experience.
19. An understanding of the Education Inspection Framework.
20. A detailed understanding of the apprenticeship environment and provision of commercial training.
21. Understanding DSAT & JSP822
22. Defence or Resilience Training experience.
23. Experience of delivering learning and development to staff within an apprenticeship / commercial training environment.
24. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
25. Demonstrates a high level of organisational skills.
26. Strong relationship development skills.
27. Effective planning and time management.
28. Analysis of data and trends to identify improvement areas.
29. Attention to detail.
30. Understanding of government funding and Awarding Organisation rules and regulations.
31. Demonstrate and support good practice through innovative teaching and learning strategies.
