With supervision and guidance, responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will include:
* Performs independent and highly specialized experimental procedures
* Designs and implements modifications of research protocols
* Troubleshooting problems and instructing colleagues in highly specialized techniques
* Synthesizes and interprets results
* Performs advanced data recording and analysis using various software programs and statistical techniques
* Maintains organized and detailed records of laboratory experiments in electronic laboratory notebooks
* Presents results at lab meetings and, as applicable, at national conferences
* Preparation and submission of research manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals
* Assistance with preparation of grant applications
* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:
PhD and/or MD required in neuroscience, cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior lab experience required. Must have evidence of strong scientific productivity, including peer-reviewed publications. Open to highly motivated candidates with a relevant background. Secondary appointment will be at Harvard Medical School.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (if applicable):
Assistance guiding research technicians and trainees in the lab is expected.

Work will be performed in a fast-paced research laboratory environment, requiring teamwork, collaboration, and flexibility. Candidate must be able to work independently.
