Finance Director (Public Sector)
VANRATH are pleased to be exclusively recruiting for an Interim Finance Director for a leading NI public sector organisation. The successful client will come in as part of the Senior Leadership to direct and manage all financial matters within the business. The role is an ongoing contract with a minimum period of 6 months guaranteed.
As Finance Director you will be responsible for leading and motivating staff to deliver high levels of performance while working in partnership with senior staff and stakeholders and providing advice and support to the Chief Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of a balanced annual budget.
2. Provision of strategic leadership in the development and implementation of a Financial Strategy to bring about financial stability and sustainability to the relevant bodies.
3. Strategic and operational development of the Finance function, including strategy, policies and procedures.
4. Provision of strategic leadership for financial planning and the management of the budget, undertaking appropriate governance checks and providing the necessary assurances to the Chief Executive, the Chair, the Board etc.
5. Provision of strategic leadership in the development and implementation of sound financial accounting systems and processes.
6. Provision of strategic leadership in the development and implementation of robust management accounting systems within the business.
The Ideal Person:
- Extensive experience at Executive level and track record of leading/shaping an a team through growth, restructuring or turnaround phases.
- Professional qualification with a relevant accountancy body
- Demonstrable experience of delivering on time with strategic business plans, enhancing corporate functions and managing, recruiting and motivating a diverse team of staff.
Remuneration:
£75,000-£85,000
