This Legal Assistant role based in Renfrew offers a unique opportunity to support both the legal and administrative needs of a dynamic in‑house Legal team. You will coordinate external counsel, manage corporate governance processes, proofread legal documents, facilitate compliance workflows, maintain legal databases, arrange document signings, manage team logistics, oversee invoicing and travel, and provide overall secretarial support.
What Will You Do?
* Provide corporate governance and entity management support.
* Liaise with external counsel and assist with compliance matters.
* Review, proofread, and provide commentary on legal documentation.
* Contribute to cross‑functional legal projects and coordination.
* Deliver comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Legal team.
* Maintain internal legal databases and archives.
* Maintain dispute and legal invoicing databases.
What Do You Bring?
* Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a legal support or administrative role.
* Legal education not required, though qualifications in the legal field are welcomed.
* Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and confidentiality.
* Proficiency with legal administrative tools and standard office software.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
