An exciting opportunity exists on the EndoscopyUnit at Barnsley Hospital for a Band 6 Team Leader.
The role will include management of the unit andleading the unit in the absence of the Lead Nurse.
We are looking for an innovate and hardworking registered practitioner.The post holder should have experience and indepth knowledge of endoscopy.
Main duties of the job
Duties to include daily management of the unit, includingstaffing, supporting staff attendance.
Budgetary responsibilities for stock items, attending meetings,dealing with incidents and complaints.
Working alongside our JAG and Clinical Education Leads toensure that our unit and staff are performing to high standards.
There will be an expectation for you to cover the oncallservice that will be over and above the contracted hours to ensure 24/7emergency cover.
There will be further opportunities for you to develop yourskills and abilities within the unit and also external training courses.

Experience
* Significant experience at Band 5 or equivalent

* Clinical experience in an Endoscopy setting
* Experience of standard setting, quality initiatives and audit
* First line management
