Your Responsibilities
As the Food Service Director, you will oversee the food service program at our facility, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service. Your role will include:
* Leading and supporting the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
* Maintaining accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
* Conducting staff training and quality control sessions; stepping in as a dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher when needed.
* Effectively communicating directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
* Ensuring a sanitary environment by following infection control and safety procedures.
* Representing HCSG positively through courteous interactions with residents, guests, and staff.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
* Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
* Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred (or as required by state law).
* Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
* Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
* Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
* Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform routine tasks continuously.
* Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
* Residency within the service area is required.
