Role Description
Do you thrive on bringing highly complex, bespoke machines to life? As an Osbit Engineer focused on the assembly, commissioning and testing phases of projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our cutting‑edge engineering solutions are seamlessly integrated and fully operational. You will work with design, fabrication and project management teams to drive commissioning and testing processes from start to finish, ensuring all systems and equipment meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commissioning process for offshore equipment and systems, including planning, execution, customer‑facing demonstration and documentation.
* Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures and schedules as part of the project team.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful integration and testing of complex equipment.
* Conduct site inspections and testing to verify subsystem and system performance and compliance with design specifications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control technical issues that arise during the commissioning process and offshore trials.
* Provide onsite, offshore and office‑based technical support and training to customers and end‑users on operation and maintenance of commissioned equipment.
* Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety regulations and best practices.
* Prepare detailed reports and documentation of commissioning activities, including test results, deviations and corrective actions.
* Collaborate with Project Owners to meet commissioning milestones within project timelines and budget constraints.
* Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve commissioning processes and methodologies.

Experience Required
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field) or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in commissioning engineering, preferably in the offshore or marine industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of offshore equipment and systems.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Further Information
* Successful applicants will be based at our Riding Mill headquarters in North East England, working on site as required.
* Work may require travel abroad at times.
* A valid driving licence is required.
