From £47,322, 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with service and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates
Permanent, Full time

National roles 1 role covering north of the UK and 1 role covering the south (extensive travel around each area)



About this Role



As an Investigator, you will deliver intelligence‑led investigations that protect our people, customers, and business. You’ll conduct serious and complex investigations into fraud and economic crime, ensure compliance with legislation and Royal Mail standards, and work closely with internal teams and law enforcement to reduce harm and strengthen our controls and processes.



Key Responsibilities



* Conduct investigations into fraud, theft, and economic crime to protect our people, customers, and business.
* Ensure all investigative activity complies with legislation and Royal Mail standards.
* Gather and manage evidence to support legal proceedings and case resolution.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and law enforcement to reduce harm.
* Support initiatives that strengthen controls and prevent future risk.
* Identify trends and vulnerabilities through casework to inform improvements in security measures.



About You



You’re a skilled investigator with a proactive approach to uncovering facts and resolving complex cases. You work well under pressure, maintain the highest standards of integrity, and ensure evidence is handled correctly throughout the investigative process. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with colleagues and law enforcement, and stay focused on delivering results that protect people, customers, and the business.



* Experience in security risk management, criminal investigations, or fraud prevention.
* Knowledge of UK legislation (e.g., PACE, CPIA, Data Protection, Health & Safety).
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.
* Ability to manage multiple cases and influence outcomes through collaboration.
* Experience working with law enforcement and external agencies; relevant certifications desirable.
