Salary: £35,568 - £38,688 plus overtime and benefits
Signing Bonus: £5000
Our client, a reputable organisation dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, is hiring for a Deputy Manager at their new 3-bedroom Children's Assessment Home. This Deputy Manager role offers a meaningful opportunity to support children through structured assessments, helping to promote positive outcomes.
As a Deputy Manager you'll be:
Providing high-quality, person-centred support to children facing various challenges
Supporting children during assessment placements and observing interactions
Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of children
Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to deliver consistent care
Leading shifts and supervising residential staff to maintain high standards of care
Following policies, procedures, and placement plans in line with Ofsted regulations
Producing detailed, evidence-based reports and maintaining a safe, structured environment
Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
As a Deputy Manager you'll bring:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
Experience working within residential childcare and with young people
A manual UK driving licence
Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills
Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care
Experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team-oriented approach
