A globally recognised professional services organisation is expanding its UK Public Sector offering and is seeking a senior procurement leader to take ownership of Corporate & Health Services category strategy across a high profile, multi billion pound portfolio.
Supporting a diverse client base across NHS, healthcare providers, emergency services and wider government bodies, this role sits at the centre of a growing and increasingly strategic procurement function. With strong investment and a clear mandate for growth, this position will play a critical role in developing and scaling key category areas while delivering best in class procurement outcomes.
This is a leadership role, responsible for driving a centre led approach across both Corporate and Health Services categories. Corporate Services scope includes frameworks, interpretation and translation services, management consultancy, audit and legal, alongside broader healthcare related services.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and expansion of Corporate & Health Services categories, identifying opportunities to grow, evolve and mature category strategies
• Manage and develop a team of 4 Senior Category Managers, driving performance, capability and consistent delivery across the function
• Partner with senior stakeholders across NHS and public sector clients to deliver commercially robust, value led procurement outcomes
• Oversee complex sourcing activity and contract management across large scale frameworks and service based delivery models
• Drive supplier relationship management, innovation and performance across key strategic suppliers
• Play a key role within the procurement leadership team, contributing to wider transformation, growth and operating model development
What We’re Looking For
• Strong procurement leadership experience, with a track record of building and growing category areas
• Experience across both Corporate Services and Healthcare related procurement
• Category expertise across areas such as frameworks, interpretation and translation, management consultancy, audit and legal services
• Proven experience managing and developing high performing teams
• Ability to operate in a complex, stakeholder driven public sector or regulated environment
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering value, cost optimisation and supplier performance improvement
