Job Title: Plant & Transport Administrator

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly organised Plant & Transport Administrator to support our Plant & Transport Managers in ensuring the efficient, compliant running of the Plant & Transport Department. In this role, you’ll be at the centre of our Plant & Transport Operation. You’ll act as the first point of contact for drivers on the road assisting with queries and supporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support.
* Maintain and update Plant & Transport logs including driver hours, vehicle service and maintenance schedules, fuel logs, compliance reports and equipment allocation.
* Assist procurement tracking and liaising with suppliers for deliveries, hire equipment, and material orders.
* Support with regulatory compliance, ensuring all records and processes meet DVSA requirements.
* Producing reports to support departmental requirements.
* Scheduling maintenance work with our suppliers.
* Support with maintenance requirements including breakdowns, servicing and repairs.
* Support with onboarding new suppliers.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Plant or Transport role ideally within Utilities, Construction (preferred but not essential)
* Effective administration, planning, organisation and time management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A proactive, problem-solving approach
* Knowledge of Plant & Transport compliance and regulations is an advantage
* Full UK driving licence
