Our applications team manage the full lifecycle of our line of business systems, websites and databases, ensuring our applications meet our users' needs, processes are optimised, and we maximise the value from our investments.
You will be an active member of the Digital and IT team, with specific responsibilities within the application management area, which helps the organisation achieve maximum value from our applications.
Your contribution will have an impact upon the practical implementation of the #1Hounslow transformation programme and the delivery of the Digital Strategy.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In
* You will be working in the Business Solutions team which comprises of application analysts and application team leads.
* The team support and maintain Digital and IT applications across the council from small to large scale applications through its application lifecycle.
* Application analysts support the implementation of integrations, web forms and liaise with third party vendors to deliver new technologies and enhance existing software.
* The team contribute to innovative digital solutions that are integrated, responsive and support digitally optimised services for our residents and communities.
About You
* You'll bring experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate an understanding of application lifecycle management.
* You’ll have broad experience of supporting or developing a variety of applications and deep knowledge of one or more applications, including all aspects of the application's lifecycle.
* You enjoy providing help and guidance to less confident colleagues and you can adapt your communication style to suit the needs of the target audience.
* You will have experience of managing change control processes, assessing risk, challenging assumptions, translating requirements, identifying resources, and implementing development requests.
* Ideally you will have experience of managing websites and content management systems and/or local authority applications for services such as housing management, adults’ and children’s services, regulatory services, planning, or finance.
* You enjoy working in the open and sharing experiences, knowledge and ideas with colleagues and peers.

* A competitive salary of £39,855 – £50,574 (Career graded).
* Generous 25 days annual leave which can go up to 31 days + public and bank holidays.

* We predominantly work remotely with some travel to / within Hounslow when needed – usually at least once a week, depending on the role. We offer flexible working and do not anticipate that you will need to work in Hounslow five days a week. However, it’s important that you will be able to travel to Hounslow when required.
