We are looking for a Restorative Justice Worker to join our Youth Justice Service. This is a rewarding role where you’ll work directly with victims of youth crime and young people to encourage positive change and repair harm caused by offending.

About the role
You will play a vital role in supporting victims and helping young people take responsibility for their actions. In this role, you will:
* Contact and support victims of youth crime, offering impartial information and opportunities to participate in restorative justice processes.
* Organise and supervise reparative activities for young people, ensuring sessions are meaningful and constructive.
* Identify suitable reparation placements and work with community partners to develop opportunities.
* Lead face‑to‑face or indirect restorative justice processes, ensuring compliance with the Victims Code.
* Maintain accurate records and monitor victim satisfaction with Youth Justice Service work.
* Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver high‑quality interventions and improve service delivery.
About you
You’ll be engaging, organised, and committed to making a difference. To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Practical experience of working with victims of crime and young people.
* Knowledge of victim issues and good practice in restorative justice.
* Effective Relationship building skills and the ability to engage people during challenging times.
* Ability to plan and deliver effective interventions, monitor outcomes, and write clear reports.
* IT skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
* Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel within and outside Reading.
Desirable qualities include experience delivering restorative justice interventions, community‑based projects, and knowledge of the justice system.
