Terminal Operator – Liverpool (Huskisson Dock)

Are you ready to be part of a team that keeps the UK’s marine fuel supply moving? JoinHenty Oil, the UK’s leading independent marine fuel specialist, as aTerminal Operatorat our Liverpool terminal. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality fuel operations—supporting vessels that power global trade.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role within atight-knit team of 11 Operators, working on a24/7 shift pattern. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and take pride in doing things the right way, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Oversee the safe receipt, transfer, and discharge of marine fuel products.
2. Operate storage tanks and blending systems to meet precise fuel specifications.
3. Conduct tank gauging and stock-taking for vessel movements and month-end reporting.
4. Maintain accurate digital records of product movements and ensure proper documentation.
5. Monitor product temperature and ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards.
6. Support terminal housekeeping and contribute to a clean, safe working environment.
7. Participate in ongoing training, including first aid and fire warden responsibilities.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Essential Skills & Experience
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic numeracy (e.g., calculating blend percentages).
9. Willingness to work flexible hours within a rotating shift pattern.
10. Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and commitment to safe practices.
11. Comfortable working at heights (up to 16 meters).
12. A reliable team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
13. Access to personal transport.
Desirable Extras
14. Experience in ship-to-shore operations (COG – Chemical, Oil & Gas).
15. Basic engineering knowledge.
16. Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
17. Certified First Aider and/or Fire Warden.
