Principal .Net Engineer - 50/50 Hands-on

Role Overview:
My Client is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in .NET Core and cloud-native systems.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing agile team, mix of 50% hands-on development and 50% leadership and strategy.
You'll help design and build distributed systems and APIs, while mentoring others and promoting best practices in engineering delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build and maintain robust, scalable applications and services
* Ensure software meets business needs, aligns with technical strategy, and is delivered to a high standard
* Work closely with architects and product teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, introducing new tools, practices, or technologies
* Mentor junior engineers and help shape technical decision-making within the team
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Expert-level C# development with recent experience in .NET Core and .NET Framework
* Experience leading small development teams
* Experience designing and building distributed, event-driven systems
* Strong API development skills (REST and/or GraphQL)
* Proficient in relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
* Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS environments
* Hands-on involvement across the SDLC including QA and production support
