The role will be for 15 hoursper week covering the following shifts and there will also be the need tosupport the team with holiday and sickness cover.
Monday 1-7pm
Tuesday2-7pm
Thursday 1-5pm

Main duties of the job
Toensure the smooth running of the surgery by:
Assistingpatients to access the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in apolite, courteous, and effective way.
Providinggeneral assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendlyimage to patients and other visitors.
Tocarry out a variety of administrative tasks for the efficient running of thePractice.

We are a highachieving QOF practice and pride ourselves on a providing a high standard ofclinical care which results in us being held in high regard by ourpatients. Youd be part of a clinicalteam comprising of a salaried GP, 2 Physicians Associates, a Nurse Prescriber,2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and 2 HCAs.
Job responsibilities
* Toreceive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely andappropriate communications with others.
* Tobook patient appointments with clinical staff with support of triaging GP
* Toliaise with GPs, nursing staff, the Practice Manager, or any other member ofthe practice team regarding patient-related queries.
* Toreceive and dispatch external mail both in hard and electronic format
* Inabsence of front desk team Receiveincoming registration forms, make necessary checks for living within boundaryand ID. Scan forms and register as required
* To ensurebuilding security and complete opening and closing procedures when working.
* Assist with anyfront desk duties required by patients or team in absence of front desk team
* To carry outa variety of administrative tasks for the efficient running of the Practice.
* Providing general assistance to the practiceteam and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and othervisitors

Qualifications
* Good standard of general education
* (GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above)
* Certificate in Customer Care
* Computer Literacy Qualification
