About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Process Engineer to be based in Woking. As part of a leading engineering and projects business operating across Oil & Gas and Energy Transition, you will support client projects across the sectors and progressively gain responsibility and influence as you develop as a Professionally Qualified Engineer.


Key responsibilities

* Execute traditional and new energy & chemicals projects, including renewable energy and green hydrogen projects.
* Perform simulations, process calculations, generate line lists and equipment lists, develop PFDs, UFDs and P&IDs.
* Design process equipment, line hydraulics, equipment datasheets and participate in safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA.
* Complete the Kent Graduate Development Programme under guidance of a mentor.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
* Adhere to client specifications, Kent’s ISO‑accredited QMS and project procedures.

Eligibility & working model

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. We follow a hybrid working model – four days a week in the Woking office combined with remote work to support a strong team dynamic.


Qualifications & skills

* Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, Environmental & Energy Engineering, Process Systems Engineering – accredited by IChemE.
* Awareness of applicable international specifications, standards and codes.
* Knowledge of safety and quality procedures and best practice.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent command of the English language.
* High level of MS Office skills – Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams.
* Flexible, enthusiastic and methodical in project work.
* Self‑motivated and comfortable taking responsibility across a range of tasks.
* Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
* Motivation to achieve professional accreditation (where applicable).
