Overview
Are you a CDP or commis chef, looking to join a friendly, passionate team in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Come and join the team at The Parson Woodforde. This is a full time role over 4 or 5 days, depending on preference.
If you are passionate about great food, love to work in a busy kitchen, and want to help us drive the business forward whilst maintaining our high standards, this could be the role for you. We are looking for an experienced chef who can work across all sections of a kitchen. You will play a key role in food preparation, ensuring an efficient busy service, and keeping food safety at the front of your mind so that every dish meets our standards.
Duties
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety regulations.
* Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering as necessary.
* Help train new kitchen staff.
* Assist with menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes and specials.
Experience
* Previous experience in a busy kitchen is required.
* Knowledge of food preparation techniques is essential.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a busy team environment.
