Senior Biomedical Scientist - Blood Transfusion Lead

Up to £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience
37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
* Proactively identify the needs and expectations of customers and strive to meet them
* Proactively commit to developing own personal skills, knowledge, and behaviours, and support others in their development
* Communicate appropriately and effectively in order to inform, influence or persuade people in relation to difficult situations
* Effectively manage the flow of information
* Develop an effective team, supporting and enabling them to achieve their goals
* Ensure own work meets the required standards, encourage the same in others, and proactively identify improvement opportunities
* Multi-disciplinary experience desirable
* Participate in on‑call rota
* Support and oversee training, development, and mentoring of the team
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, quality standards, and audit frameworks
* Attend key management meetings, including local, regional, and national Hospital Transfusion Forum meetings
* Hold a current HCPC registration (Health and Care Professions Council) – essential for this role
