Purpose of PositionThis is an important analytical role within Finance, dedicated to supporting the Insurance team in driving efficiency and generating cost savings. Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Company Insurable Risk Manager and the wider Insurance team to manage and analyse their extensive data and ultimately help lower the cost of claims.Working across a varied range of insurable risks, you will transform vast, complex datasets into actionable, concise insights. Your advanced analytical and problem solving skills will ensure our reports directly inform key decisions, enhance risk management practices, and deliver measurable cost reductions in an area where spend is in excess of £30m.Key Tasks/Areas of ResponsibilityPerformance Reporting: Designing and build insightful dashboards and reports using data from our claims handling partners to communicate risk, cost, and claims performance metrics to the Insurance & Risk team and wider business.Claims Modelling: Working with the Insurance Team and our claims handling partners to develop models to help forecast the total lifetime cost of claims and establish company’s ultimate financial position.Cost Analysis: Compilation and in-depth interrogation of accident, claims and exposure data to identify high cost trends, risk concentration areas, and specific opportunities for intervention and mitigation.Exposure and Coverage Gap Review: Conduct analytical reviews to identify potential gaps in insurance coverage.Management Information: Producing Management Information (MI) to support projects and to accurately forecast the potential financial implications. Analytical Support: Providing expert analytical support to the Insurance Team to validate and prioritise initiatives as well reporting on associated financial and non-financial benefits.
