Automation Technical Lead – Shape the Engineering Future at Evri

This role is remote-first, with occasional travel to Morley, Leeds for engineering collaboration and cross-team technical sessions.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Automation Technical Lead, you will be the technical authority for your domain—guiding architectural decisions, making informed technical choices, and ensuring system health across our automation platforms. You'll partner closely with Delivery to plan and prioritise work, ensuring our technical direction aligns with the wider engineering strategy and the evolving needs of the business.
You'll mentor engineers, champion high-quality engineering practices, and influence architectural roadmaps, standards and patterns. You'll advocate for solutions that strike the right balance between innovation, scalability, risk management and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
* Drive architectural discussions and make informed technical decisions that support scalability, reliability and long-term health of systems.
* Partner with Delivery teams to plan and prioritise work, ensuring alignment with engineering and organisational goals.
* Mentor engineers, foster technical excellence, and support the development of senior engineering talent.
* Influence technical strategy by contributing to architectural roadmaps, standards and patterns—advocating for solutions that balance innovation with risk.
* Ensure quality and compliance at scale, embedding security, performance and regulatory considerations across designs and processes.
Interested? Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful
* 5+ years' experience across Microsoft Power Platform, AWS and UiPath.
* Proven experience in system design, architecture and building scalable solutions.
* Strong technical ability in either frontend or backend development, with working knowledge of the other.
* Experience mentoring engineers and influencing engineering strategy across teams.
* Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimisation and reliability engineering.
